Obey Move Over Laws for the Safety of Yourself and Others

600 × 463

Every state has laws known as Move Over laws. This law means that you have to get into a lane that is further away for the shoulder when there is someone stranded on the side of the road. This is also true even if the vehicle is pulled off the road and is on the shoulder. Always get over when you can. If that is not possible, you need to at least slow down to 15 miles per hour below the posted speed limit.

Many people including construction workers, police officers, and other emergency personnel are killed every year by cars on the highway while trying to do their jobs. It's a dangerous situation and we want to remind you from all of us here at Reed Chevrolet that you need to obey Move Over laws at all times.

Move Over laws are in place for a reason and they need to be followed to help save lives.
